A hidden gem!! Came from NYC to visit Angry orchards and found this restaurant. Not only was the food delicious but the service is one of a kind. We had Mario as our server and let me just say not only was he kind but also super entertaining and engaging. I would definitely take that 2 hour drive to come here again.

You simply MUST eat there. My parents and I were there for lunch and everything was wonderful. My folks shared the paella Valenciana, I had the steak and shrimp. We were very happy! Polly was such a doll and makes a mean Sangria! Go, go, go!!!

I can't say enough about how arguably this is the best restaurant in Orange county. The food was spot on and the service superb. If you're looking for authentic SPANISH food not South American, this is the place to be.Thank you to the wonde full wait staff and presumably owner or manager for making our night wonderful.

We saw the sign for this place on the NY Thruway and decided to stop off and have coffee and an impossibly delicious tapa (mushroom, garlic and shrimp) at the bar, and then returned later for a very good paella dinner and quality sangria - not a watered down version. We topped it off with an exquisite flan and ate at the bar again where we enjoyed chatting with customers and friendly staff.

What a Gem; we had Jimmy as our waiter n a waiter he is. He explain everything to us. My husband has the Seafood Paella n I had the Filet Mignon with Shrimp ona brown sauce. The food was delicious with Casino Clam as an appetizer. If u want Spanish food that is the place to go.

The food was delicious, the portions were enormous and the sangria was amazing, especially the strawberry sangria! Everyone we dealt with was very friendly and accommodating. We will definitely be back to try some of the other sangrias and other entrees that we didnt get to try yet

The food was flavored nice and the sangria was amazing. The staff were extremely friendly as well. The only downside was how slow the service was on the night my family and I dined.

Great atmosphere, very cozy. The shrimp appetizer was wonderful. The wine selection is limited but reasonably priced. The staff is friendly and attentive. Our food arrived a bit cooler than I would have liked, I think it sat in the window for a bit. The lamb was flavorful but overcooked.

I prefer this place very much. theres a friendly atmosphere. The kitcen is wonderful. the service is dynamic and the team is friendly. The price is satisfactory. greatly recommend.

Service and food was phenomenal. Before our meal we were served with bread, and soup. The meals were very large, and everyone had enough to take home. The cocktails were made perfectly. Will definitely come back.

The food was incredible, my family & I enjoyed the appetizers, soup, main courses, & desserts. The service was great, warm, friendly, & extremely welcoming. The atmosphere was beautiful which made our experience all the more wonderful. What was great was that the prices were reasonable so we didn't break the bank going out to eat. I would highly recommend giving this restaurant a try. My family & I will definitely be going back. This might be my new favorite restaurant.

Not exactly a Spanish place but the food did taste very good. We got the chicken in garlic sauce and shrimp and both were very tasty.

Food was Fantastic.. I had grilled Salmon a la Pastelerra. It had a glazed Sherry sauce.. They served the vegetables. Family style portions for two.. My sister had a generous portion of Jumbo shrimp on garlic sauce.. . We had rice, broccoli and potatoes as the sides.. Mario our Waiter was very. Attentive. Excellent service.. Elegant , white tablecloth experience.

Authentic Spanish food, excellent atmosphere

It's a little piece of Spain in Orange county. Their Paella is delicious. I have recommended El Meson de Barajas to many people. The staff is super friendly and caring. Love this place.

We dined here Friday night and the experience was incredible the food was fabulous and the service was even more incredible. They could not do enough for us and I can't wait to go back. I highly recommend this place they will not disappoint.

Delicious authentic (Spain) Spanish food! The portions are huge and come with rice and steamed veggies. The garlic shrimp or chicken is my favorite. You can sit on the patio in nice weather and eat from a tapas menu with special drinks too. The service can be a little slow but really attentive. We order to go for lunch at work often, or order ahead so it's ready when we arrive.

It was my first time here and I loved it a lot. From the atmosphere to the food, everything was impeccable! The customer service was phenomenal especially the bar tender, she was great! Will definitely come back soon.

El Meson De Barajas is AWESOME!!! We held a party there for about 20 people and our entire experience from start to finish was OUTSTANDING! Jon, Paulie, Mario and the rest of the Staff are definitely at the top of their game! Everyone in our party was very impressed with the service and commented very highly on how delicious the food was! The Sangria/drinks, Appetizers and Entrees were all magnificent! The ambience of the Private Party room upstairs (which has its own bathrooms) was a lovely addition to our evening! Several people in our party, who had not been to El Meson De Barajas before, commented that they will definitely be going there again! We all had a wonderful evening! We highly recommend this place!!!

We were looking for a traditional spanish restaurant in our area that had a great ambiance and great food as well. Well El Meson de Barajas certainly goes out of the way to give you both. Started with a Spanish Martini...a play on gin ,vermouth and a hint on citrus bitters. It was perfect. We then had the Paella Marinara and the Mariscos en salsa roja. Each plate was so delish and plentiful. You get large portions perfect for sharing. Boy did I enjoy every succulent shrimp and clam bite. The lobster was also fresh and soft. We had save some space for the flan that was calling to us. The carmelized sugar was perfectly done...added sweet smokey flavor to the dish. The meal and service was great. Our server was very attentive and on que. I would recommend El Meson to all.
